We are a not-for-profit community benefit society. We delivered the EU-funded UpStraw project and are a signatory of the ASBP Anti-Greenwash Charter.
Did you know?
Straw is a by-product of a food crop. Baled into a wall and plastered, it holds onto the carbon the plant absorbed while it grew, or as long as the building stands.

The voice of natural building
We campaign for straw, clay and lime to be recognised in standards, warranties and housing policy, backed by evidence we have produced ourselves, including the UK’s first Environmental Product Declaration for straw.
